Fenton Residents Enjoying Unseasonal Warm Weather
Golf courses, parks packed with people basking in the sun.
Chris White will never underestimate Fenton area golfers’ desire to play early in the season ever again. The Fenton Farms owner opened the golf club Sunday when temperatures hit 60 degrees and expected to run the entire course by himself. When 100 golfers showed up, he knew he was in trouble and sent a panicked text to all his staff, begging them to come in to work. They came in and saved him, and on Wednesday when temperatures reached the 70s, he was more prepared. White had a full staff ready for a course full of golfers, who like many Fenton residents were out enjoying the sunshine Wednesday. “They are ecstatic,” White said of the golfers. “They can come out on March 14 and wear shorts.
