Red Cross Helps Children Avoid the Flu in 3 Easy Steps

A flu outbreak is being reported in 47 of the 50 states and children have been hit particularly hard, according to the American Red Cross.

Influenza outbreaks have been reported by health officials in 47 of the 50 states, according to a release from the American Red Cross. "One age group hit particularly hard is children," according to the same release. Two Fenton residents have died after coming down with flu-like symptoms. Joshua Michael Polehna, a Lake Fenton freshman, died after falling ill during Christmas break. Fenton resident and father of five Kirk Beauchamp, 44, died three days after becoming ill with flu symptoms in December as well.
