Fenton area officials released an ice warning, after the accidental death of a man in a Groveland Township lake, Fenton Patch reports. 2. A Fenton man, Kirk Beauchamp, 44, died three days after becoming ill with flu symptoms on Dec. 26, the Tri-County Times said. Beauchamp leaves his wife, Amy, and their five children. 3. Fenton Area Public Schools is looking at options for updating the district’s technology, after two failed bond votes, the Flint Journal reports. 4. A Groveland Township man, Colin Eugene Thompson, 39, has been charged with premeditated murder of his girlfriend, Michele (Missy) Coakley, 40, also of Groveland Township, the Tri-County Times reports. Michigan State Police responded to the 16000 block of Dixie Highway last Friday. 2. Police searched for the body of Jimmy Hoffa under a Roseville driveway, reported St. Clair Shores Patch. 3. The most popular story on Fenton Patch for the week was about the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur.
