Linden's Holiday Happening is Friday and Saturday
City has lots of events and activities planned for Dec. 7 and 8, in downtown Linden.
The city of Linden is gearing up for some winter fun this weekend, with the 2012 Holiday Happening, presented by its Parks & Recreation department and the Downtown Development Authority (DDA). Organizer Marguerite Plumb said it will include a parade, horse drawn carriage rides, food, an art fair by Linden High School students — and more. The parade, always a favorite part of Holiday Happening, will be at noon on Saturday. Santa will be riding along the parade route, along with Grand Marshal Scott Wogen. Linden Parks & Recreation selected Wogen because of his many hours of service and his dedication to the city, Plumb said.
