Wintry Snow and Ice Mix Closes Lake Fenton, Fenton Schools Monday
A Winter Weather Advisory expired at 6 a.m. Monday, but area public and private schools are closed all day.
After a night of snow and freezing rain, the Lake Fenton Community Schools and Fenton Area Public Schools are closed for the day. As of 5:30 a.m., the following schools officially canceled classes due to wintry conditions: Nearby districts are also closed. Fenton Area Public Schools posted that all AGS Middle School athletic events are cancelled, while Fenton High School Basketball (all levels Freshman, JV and Varsity) are on as scheduled for tonight. A Winter Weather Advisory remained in effect until 6 a.m. Monday after several inches of snow fell overnight and then turned into freezing rain in areas.
