What Should Go Here?

Tell us what you think should go into this empty Fenton building.

The Fenton Cinema closed its doors in 2008. Since then the building, located at 291 Alloy Drive, has been empty. A Tyrone Township resident had a purchase agreement for the building and planned to turn the theater into seven different venues for live entertainment, including music and a hookah bar, but the deal recently fell through. The property is listed for $535,000. What business would you like to see at this location?

It would be nice to have another cinema on one end (maybe with three or four screens), and on the other end a place for live entertainment (music, comedy, etc.) and a family style restaurant.   more ›

What Should Go in the Old Fenton Fire Hall?

Now that Michigan Brewing Company is no longer an option, tell us what you think should be placed in the building.

The lease between the Fenton Downtown Development Authority and Michigan Brewing Company has been terminated. Fenton DDA director Michael Burns said he is unsure of what process the DDA will choose to fill the vacancy at the old Fenton fire hall, and he expects it to be discussed at the group's next meeting on May 15. What would you like to see in the space? Many Fenton Patch readers have already posted their suggestions on the Fenton Patch Facebook page. Jennifer Peters posted, "Personally I could do with a little more hometown retail, something that is not an antique shop and gives me an alternative to the big box stores....something that makes the downtown more walkable." Stephanie Ruth McMunigal posted, "We have plenty of restaurants …
