They will be near Silver Lake Road/Silver Parkway and Shiawassee Avenue/Leroy Street Friday.
The Old Newsboys will be collecting donations in Fenton on Friday, at the intersections of Leroy Street and West Shiawassee Avenue and Silver Lake Road at Silver Parkway. Executive Director Chris Hamilton said they are on pace to help approximately the same number this year. Old Newsboys of Flint has a goal of raising $400,000 this year for its programs. Davies began leading the charge in 2009. Community Angels appreciate what the community does for them, and the Angel program is one way they express their thanks, she said. They’ve pitched in to help at Mom to Mom sales, rolled up their sleeves to assist with fundraisers for Adopt-A-Pet, lent a hand with the Back to the Bricks car shows in Linden and Fenton, and stuffed Easter eggs with candy for the annual Easter …
