Heat advisory issued for Fenton and surrounding areas.
Fenton residents are trying anything they can do to beat the heat. Many are staying indoors in the air conditioning, while 6-year-old Fenton resident Abby Carrigan opted for a sundae at Uncle Ray's Dairyland and Dan Williams, of Fenton, took out several friends on his large blowup raft on Silver Lake. "We've just been hanging out, trying to cool off," said Williams, who said the best thing about the raft is that is has two coolers. Joe Hewitt, of Swartz Creek, headed to Silver Lake Park during a break from his work at Ruby Tuesday to throw the football around with friend John Anthony before cooling off in the water.
