The lease between the Fenton Downtown Development Authority and Michigan Brewing Company has been terminated. Fenton DDA director Michael Burns said he is unsure of what process the DDA will choose to fill the vacancy at the old Fenton fire hall, and he expects it to be discussed at the group's next meeting on May 15. Need to create a cobble stone village (Like River Place in Frankenmuth). It would create a bunch of novelty shops, restaurants, and other entertainment type businesses. This building, at 603 North Leroy Street in Fenton, was previously a Papa John's franchise. Now it sits empty. However, the facility is just down the road from downtown Fenton and not too far from the North Leroy Street business district, so there are plenty of possibilities. What do you think?
