In my spare time, I enjoy running, lifting weights, volunteering for Adopt-A-Pet, reading paperback mysteries and listening to my favorite rock groups. And I knit. Some of these I can do simultaneously.

My husband, David Troppens, and I have some small pets we love — Henry, a cockatiel; Sweetie, a hamster; and Bunnie, no explanation needed. Many of my family members live in this area, and I am glad to be home. I am excited about beginning a new phase in journalism with Fenton Patch and online local news.
