Jonathan Ettinger, Neighbor

Genesee County Commission 6th District candidate,Jonathan Ettinger, has a vision to make government better at a lower cost.  He also believes that the structure of the Genesee County Commission should be changed.<br><br>Ettinger has a vision to save the county&#39;s taxpayers over $250,000 per year by reverting to the Board of Supervisors structure that was previously used in the area.  He pledges, &#34;Once elected, I want to fire myself.  Yes, that<br>is correct I want to be hired for the job, so I can fire all of the commissioners.&#34;<br><br>The new structure will help bring better representation to areas in Genesee County beyond the boundaries of the city of Flint.  Ettinger says, “People should be a part of their government, not apart from it.”  He believes that the Board of Supervisors structure gives people better access to their officials representing them on the county board.<br><br>Besides the savings from the restructuring of the county board, other priorities include examining the salaries of the highest paid county officials.  He wants to work to get the current salaries of county officials in line with the private industry.   Ettinger said, “It is time for Genesee County to provide better government at a lower cost to its residents.
