Michael and Graciela, Neighbor

We are a husband and wife writing team living in Bogotá, Colombia, South America. We began both our personal and writing relationship 10 years ago after a chance encounter. Our home near the city of over eight million people is shared with two large dogs who believe they have the same rights as humans. Nine to five jobs are in our past as we are both of Social Security age, but it feels like we put in many more hours now. We enjoy bringing the Colombia of the people to those in other countries. Our dynamics of unique differences in culture and other areas create for readers various views on topics. Rather meaning we do not always agree and present different ways of looking at things.

 World travel is something we cannot get enough of. In some of our writings it is our intention to bring to readers glimpses into different places. Our main focus is to bring you Colombia as it truly is and not one sided-portrayals that are presented in movies, on TV and most of American media.

 Michael is a born and bred Michigander with over 40 years experience as a freelance writer. Most recently over 70 of his writings covering a variety of topics have appeared in Patch newspapers.

 Graciela has lived all her life in Colombia though traveled the world extensively. She is an accomplished artist and has studied with some of the best artists in South America. Most of her work life has been as a bilingual administrative assistant to company presidents in Colombia.
