Fenton Fire Hall is Open for Business

The building opened for dinner at 4 p.m. Thursday.

It's been a long time in the making, but the old Fenton Fire Hall is finally opened for business.

The restaurant and bar opened at 4 p.m. Thursday and will continue 4 p.m. openings until Dec. 30 when the opening time will be 11 a.m., according to the Detroit Press Press. The article stated that there are no signs on the building yet and paper is still covering the windows.

The Fenton Downtown Development Authority selected Clarkston Union Owners Curt Catallo and Ann Stevenson to renovate the old Fenton Fire Hall in June 2012. The restaurant was originally slated to be open by April 30, 2013, but construction took longer than expected.

Before selecting the Clarkston Union owners, Michigan Brewing Co. had planned to rehab the old structure. Fenton officials selected MBC in Sept. 2010 and terminated the lease April 26, 2012 after owners were evicted from their headquarters.

What do think of the restaurant finally opening? Will you be visiting?
