5 Things to Do This Weekend

Kick the winter blues and head out to one of these events this weekend.

Ladies' Night Out: Get a head start on your weekend ladies! Enjoy sample massages, hair products, purses, jewelry and much more. Tickets are $5 in advance at the or $8 at the door. Everyone receives a gift bag. The event will take place from 6:30-9:00 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 20 at the .

Hairspray: Out of the Box Theatre Guild, and Lake Fenton Theatre, will present the Tony Award-winning musical comedy. The show will be playing at the auditorium Jan. 20 through Jan. 23. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. with bonus matinees on Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. Ticket prices are $12 for adults, while senior citizens over 55 and children 11 and under are $10. Tickets are on sale and can be reserved by visiting www.OTBTheatre.com, or by stopping by the Lake Fenton High School office, 4070 Lahring Road in Linden.

Open Mic Night:  Open Mic Night is held on the third Friday of every month at the , 1545 North Leroy St. This is your chance to hear everything from bluegrass to rock all on one night or to get on stage and perform yourself.

Improv comedy: Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood from Whose Line Is It Anyway? bring their improv comedy to The Whiting in Flint. Showtime is 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 to $50. Tickets ($43) and transportation available through Loose Senior Center in Linden. Call 810-735-9406 for more information.
