Do You Think the Freedom Center's Proposed Event Center is a Good Thing for Fenton?

Earlier this year, the announced plans for a $3 million expansion to its current location.

The center also announced a second phase to the project—a central event center. According to the church website, the center would “become a center for ‘doing life’ for families of the Freedom Center, and to become a dynamic place for the community to enjoy as we ‘dialogue’ with them.”

It also says the location would include a fitness center; coffee shop; 300-seat auditorium for youth ministry, weddings and dance recitals; a large child’s play and learning center; and church offices.

The location could be the former Topps property off West Caroline Street.

Fenton Building and Zoning Administrator Brad Hissong said officials told him drawings would likely be submitted soon.
