Fenton Firefighters to Host Run Through Flames Race

In conjunction with the 11th Annual Taste in Fenton event, organized by the Fenton Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Fenton Firefighters Charities will be hosting a 5k and 10k walk/run on Aug. 13.

Fire Chief Robert Cairnduff announced the 2nd annual “Run through the Flames”. 

Chief Cairnduff stated the Fenton Firefighter Charities was founded “with a simple aim – to help our fellow firefighters give something extra back to the communities we live in and care for.”

All races will begin at 10 a.m. and begin and end at the located at 205 E. Caroline St in Fenton. 

Entry fee is $20 or $23 with a shirt. Register by mail, www.fentonfirecharities.org, drop off at the fire station, or on race day at the fire station. Registration opens at 8 a.m. the day of the run and you will pick up your shirt (if applicable) and timing chip at that time.

5k will take a single loop and 10k run/walkers make two loops.  Bathrooms will be available at the Fenton Fire Station. The fire station will be open before and after the race for touring and viewing of trucks and equipment. Children are welcome.

Each registrant will receive two Taste in Fenton tickets while supplies last, first come first served. Tickets are available online at www.fentonchamber.com/tasteinfenton for the advance price of $12.  They are also available for purchase at the Chamber office at 114 N. LeRoy Street in Fenton.
