Rain Washes Away Back to the Bricks in Fenton and Linden
Classic car event rescheduled for Thursday, Aug. 23.
Classic car owners aren't real fond of driving in the rain, so officials have decided to postpone the scheduled to take place in Fenton and Linden today.
The event has been rescheduled for Thursday, Aug. 23. The activities schedule will remain the same.
“It’s disappointing, but you can’t control the weather and we need the rain,” said Fenton Downtown Development Authority Director and Assistant City Manager Michael Burns. “I’m sure the weather will hold up next time and we will have a good event.”

The classic car cruise was a hit with visitors in Fenton last year. The event is being put on by with help from the Fenton Downtown Development Authority.
The 8th annual Back to the Bricks will take place in Flint from Aug. 14 to 18. Before then, however, "Tune-up" events are being held in Clio, Flint Township, Linden and Fenton, Richfield Township and Davision Township and Mt. Morris.
