Fenton's Jingle Jog 5K Will have New Route, Time

The Fenton Regional Chamber of Commerce will have a new 5k route and time for the annual Jingle Jog 5k Run/Walk.

The Jingle Jog 5K will kick off the Jinglefest event at 3 p.m. Dec. 1.

Organized By: The Fenton Regional Chamber of Commerce

Starting Time: The race will begin at 3 p.m.

Location: Race begins and ends at the Old Fire Hall, Fenton MI (201 S. Leroy St. at the corner of E. Ellen St.)

Packet Pick-Up: RACE Day 1:30pm – 2:45pm Old Fire Hall, Fenton, MI (201 S. Leroy St. at the corner of E. Ellen St.)

NEW Course: Old Fire Hall at 201 S. Leroy St. Mostly flat, fast, one loop and well-marked on paved streets in downtown Fenton. Roads are open to vehicle traffic, but are monitored by volunteers.

Facilities: Restrooms and shelter are available across the street at the Fenton Community & Cultural Center (150 S. Leroy St.)

Registration: Register by mail, drop off, online at www.goracego.com or on race day at packet pickup.

Awards: Overall Male &Female, Masters Male & Female, 2 Deep in each Age Group Male & Female in Walk/Run:13 & under, 14-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & Up

*Receive a Jingle Jog mug at the finish to be used for hot beverages and soup.

*Wear a Santa costume and you will receive a $5 dollar refund at registration.

Jingle Jog kicks off the Jinglefest celebration, shopping, ice sculptures, horse carriage rides and lighted parade at 6 p.m.
