Crime Report: Stolen Truck Tires, Bogus Insurance Policy

The following arrest information was supplied by the Fenton Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Police are investigating a case of stolen truck tires from the 200 block of North Fenway Drive, which was reported on Feb. 10 around 11 a.m.

Chief Rick Aro said the owner reported several truck tires were taken from a Peterbilt stake truck that had been parked at the property for a couple weeks. The man told police the tires were deflated and removed from the rims.

Aro said police discovered that the suspects likely gained entrance to the property by cutting through chain link fence on the east side of the property.

Bogus insurance policy

A 47-year-old Fenton woman told police Feb. 10 that someone opened an insurance policy under her name with her credit card.

According to the report: the woman received a letter from Geico and found someone had started the policy with her information in Colorado. She cancelled the policy.

Police attempted to contact the suspect with the vehicle information provided, but the vin number wasn't valid, Aro said.
