Fenton Police Find Drunk Man Passed Out on Sidewalk, Daughter Steals From Mother

The following arrest information was supplied by the Fenton Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Fenton Police found an unresponsive male lying next to a bike around 3 a.m. Aug. 5 on West Shiawassee Street near Rounds Drive and arrested him on charges of disorderly intoxication.

Chief Rick Aro said police found the 34-year-Fenton resident lying on the sidewalk and police had trouble waking him. Aro said when the man did wake up, police believed he was highly intoxicated when he became loud, couldn’t keep his balance and was confused.

Police gave him a preliminary breath test, which revealed a blood/alcohol content of nearly three times the legal limit to drive, which is .08, Aro said.

Police are investigating a case of the illegal dumping of car parts on city property.

Aro said police received a call about a man dumping auto parts around 10 a.m. Aug. 6 on city property on Tipsico Lake Road near Leroy Street.

Police were able to identify the registered owner of the vehicle through stickers on the car parts and contacted the 21-year-old Fenton resident by phone. Aro said he admitted to the illegal dumping and police have planned an interview with the man to continue the investigation.

Mom says daughter stole money, jewelry

A 46-year-old Fenton mother said her 21-year daughter entered her home without permission and took a large amount of cash and jewelry, police said.

Aro said the mother reported she returned to her home on the 15000 block of Eddy Lake Road to find her daughter, who does not live at the house or have a house key, in the home packing up some the daughter's belongings.

Police said the mother was unsure how the daughter entered the home, but allowed the daughter to finish packing up and leave. She told police she later noticed a large amount of cash that was hidden missing, along with two gold necklaces.

Aro said the daughter agreed to be interviewed by police, but never appeared. Police are requesting a warrant for her arrest.
