Police Blotter: Possession of Marijuana; Missing Pipe, Bikes

Police arrested a teenager on charges of possession of marijuana in June 11.

Fenton Police Chief Rick Aro said an officer made a traffic stop around 9:25 p.m. near North LeRoy and Third Streets for expired license plate tags.

Aro said the officer was granted consent from the driver to search the vehicle and noticed a multicolored glass pipe and then found a clear bag of what appeared to be marijuana.

The passenger of the vehicle, a 17-year-old Fenton male, admitted that the bag was his and he was brought back to the and given a notice to appear at the , Aro said.

Missing pipe

On June 13, a business owner on the 300 block of North Alloy Drive reported a larceny of copper pipe, police said.

Aro said the business owner told police sprinkler maintenance was being performed when workers noticed six feet of copper pipe was removed and another piece of equipment was also cut away from the building.

Police have no suspects.

Aro said he believes the incident could have been related to a last month.

 Missing bikes

Two Fenton residents have reported larceny of a bike recently.

On June 13, a resident of Crestview Apartments, 201 Trealout Drive, told police a black Huffy bike was placed behind an apartment building for a short period of time around 2 p.m. before the owner returned and found it missing.

The bike was valued at $100.

Aro said another resident reported parking the black and maroon Vortex on the back porch on the 400 block of Dauner Haus Street on May 27 and discovered the bike was missing June 1.

“With the weather getting nicer, we would advise people to be a little more careful to where they are leaving their bikes and it would be wise to lock them if they are leaving for any amount of time,” Aro said.
