Police Seek Witnesses of Crash That Killed Fenton Man

Police are looking for witnesses of a fatal crash that killed a Fenton man Saturday in Waterford Township.

Douglas Shawn King, 38, of Fenton, was driving northbound on Dixie Highway at 12:16 p.m. Saturday when his truck crossed all southbound lanes, hit another vehicle, left the road and hit a utility pole, according to the Detroit Free Press.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, the article stated.

Police are unsure what caused the truck to cross into oncoming traffic, according to the Oakland Press. The driver of the other vehicle, a 59-year-old Clarkston woman, was not injured in the accident, the article stated.

WDIV Detroit reported both drivers were wearing seatbelts and alcohol did not appear to be a factor.
