Train Strikes and kills Fenton teenager

A train struck and killed Audrey Seigle, 17, on the railroad tracks near Silver Lake Road and US 23 in July. Police determined she was walking on the tracks alone. Supporters have started a “Rest in Peace Audrey Seigle” page on Facebook and filled it with messages, songs and pictures.

Fenton Resident and West Bloomfield Officer Patrick O'Rourke Killed on Duty

Fenton Resident and West Bloomfield Officer Patrick O'Rourke was Killed on Duty. He was shot and killed by a man who barricaded himself in a home in September. O'Rourke, 39, who was married and a father of four that lived in the Fenton area, was among a handful of officers who responded to a report of shots fire. His funeral was held at St. John's in Fenton.

Man shot, robbed in Fenton Township

A shooting in Fenton Township surprised resident in April. Robert Johnson said he and Collins, 23, of Flint, exchanged gunfire on the 13000 block of Linden Road in the preliminary exam.

“I was trying to kill him because he was in my house trying to kill me,” Johnson told the court. “It was my life or his life.”

The case is ongoing.

Fenton Residents Convicted in Connection with Ohio Woman's Death

Two former Fenton residents who played a role in a murder and dismemberment of an Ohio woman will be serving several years in prison. Champaign County Common Pleas Court sentenced Andrew Forney, 26, to 10 years in prison after they say he helped convicted killer Matthew Puccio cut up 21-year-old Jessica Sacco and dispose of her limbs in southern Ohio and northern Kentucky.

Fenton Man Charged with Involuntary Manslaughter in Holly Bar Fight Death

A Fenton man has been charged in the death of a Highland man after a bar fight in Holly, according to police. Officials charged Evan James Wells, 37 with involuntary manslaughter, a 15 year felony.

A jury found former Tyrone Township man Brandon Hayes guilty of murdering his ex-girlfriend's son Dominick Calhoun, 4, in an Argentine apartment in April of 2010.

Police: 1-Year-Old Injured After Drunk Fenton Woman Crashes Vehicle

Police arrived on scene near Center Road and Old US 23 to find Teddyjo Fliam, of Fenton, and her daughter thrown from their 1997 Toyota Four Runner, according to a press release from the Livingston County Sheriff’s office.

Police say the girl was thrown from the vehicle because she was not properly restrained in her car seat. Fliam’s 4-year-old son, however, was still in the car when police arrived on scene, and was wearing his seat belt.
