Fenton to Host Personal Property Tax Seminar for Local Merchants

Event to take place Jan. 12.

For most small business owners, dealing with personal property taxes can be a challenge. hopes to make the process easier and less stressful for businesses this year with their Personal Property Tax Seminar on Thursday, January 12.

“We at the City of Fenton have recognized that these tax forms are difficult to complete, and some businesses may be paying more than they need to as a result,” said City of Fenton Assistant City Manager Michael Burns. “We’d like to reach out to the business community to assist them with this task.”

The Personal Property Tax Seminar is co-sponsored by two City of Fenton organizations that are always looking for new ways to help local businesses: the Fenton Downtown Development Authority and the Fenton Local Development Financing Authority. Presenting at the seminar will be Fenton City Assessor Tonya Molloseau and Jeff Irvin of Fausey and Associates.

The Personal Property Tax Seminar will take place at the at Thursday, January 12 at 8:00am. The seminar is open to all City of Fenton businesses. Attendees are asked to RSVP by Monday, January 9 by contacting City Hall at 810-629-2261.
