What community and civic organizations are you currently involved in?

I attend the in Linden, and I'm working with a local Breast Cancer Survivor's Fundraiser.

Why did you want to run for office?

I feel I can bring a fresh perspective on how to increase our job availability.

What personal and professional experiences make you qualified to hold that position?

More than 12 years experience keeping records for and working with school districts regarding ADA funding from the state.

What is the most important issue and what do you intend to do about it during your term in office?

Increasing small business.  I intend to encourage both companies and citizens to start businesses in our community by any means possible. If successful, this will provide more local jobs. I will also encourage small businesses from other communities to join Fenton Township.

What is your vision for the area, where do you see the area in 10 or even 20 years, and what does the area need to do now to realize that vision?

Fenton Township is a perfect place for growth. What I hope to see in the years to come is an increase in locally owned businesses (restaurants, bakeries, organic food shops, antique stores, etc.), while keeping our "small town" feel. My proposed solution is to start talking with entrepreneurs in Fenton Township, as well as small business owners in surrounding areas that hope to relocate to Fenton Township. I hope to give incentives to those looking to start a business here; I hope to offer the "golden opportunity" that cannot be passed up.
