Lake Fenton Theatre to Present Footloose

The show will play Feb. 7 through Feb. 10 at Lake Fenton High School.

Lake Fenton Theatre (LFT) will to present the high-energy dance musical, FOOTLOOSE, to the community.

The production will debut on Thursday, February 7th and play through Sunday, February 10th at the Lake Fenton High School at the corner of Lahring and Jennings roads in Linden.

Inspired by the wildly popular 1984 movie, FOOTLOOSE has become a stage musical phenomenon. It’s a story of American spirit – a carefree city boy (Matt Maldonado as Ren McCormack) transplanted to a conservative, rural town where rock ‘n’ roll and dancing are forbidden. Through tenacity and clever use of the Bible, Ren takes on the authorities, makes all the right moves, wins the girl (Sydney Wolgast as Ariel Moore), and, most importantly, brings healing and dance back to the heart of the town.

Directed by Brenda LaBonte, choreographed by Karen Whittaker, and musically directed by Stacey Garback, FOOTLOOSE explodes onto the stage with its  dance routines, ‘80s costumes, and a score full of classic anthems that defined the ‘80s.
