Fenton JV Football Cruises to 5-0

Tigers defeat Brandon 28-8 with aerial attack.

The Fenton JV football team put together a reel of highlights Thursday night, most of which happened in the first five minutes of the game.

The Tigers improved to 5-0 with a 28-8 victory at host Brandon.

Fenton’s Scott Lukas made a nifty one-handed grab in the corner of the endzone to put the Tigers on the board early in the first quarter.

Then just more than a minute later Matthew Cubr hauled in a 41-yard TD reception with a tough over-the-shoulder grab.

Quarterback James Claborn then connected for his third touchdown pass of the first quarter with a 64-yard bomb to Lukas that put Fenton up 21-0.

The squad did allow a late Brandon touchdown and gave up a safety on a botched punt, but Tyler Hudson bulled his in for a touchdown to cap the scoring for the Tigers in the fourth quarter.

Fenton has outscored opponents 170-46 this season.

“Our mantra is work hard, have fun and wins games in order.” said Fenton Coach Mike Tokarsky. “We are working on preparing for each team and not looking at the season right now,” he said.

The Tigers travel to Clio next week.
