Adopt-A-Pet Raising Funds For Addition

Group hopes to rescue more animals by doubling capacity.

While , helping the Fenton save hundreds of pets, the group wants to rescue even more furry friends.

The organization is raising funds to build an addition, allowing the group to double capacity.

“The last several years have been very difficult,” said program director Jody Maddock. “Adopt-A-Pet constantly has dogs and cats waiting to come into our system. Some people wait months due to Adopt-A-Pet’s reputation for caring not only for the animals’ physical well-being but also their mental well-being. It’s not the animals' fault; they didn’t ask to be left behind.”

The addition will have eight rooms, including a whelping room for nursing mothers, a training/socialization room, adoption/counseling space, quarantine rooms and much more.

An addition will help more people in the community and save many more lives, Maddock said. "The animals can’t help themselves and they deserve a chance at a really great life. Adopt-A-Pet’s Board and volunteers are thankful they are able to help as many as they can. Adopt-A-Pet needs donations and sponsors to help build this life-saving addition."
